The north side dorm was built in 1964 and, today, houses approximately 250 students in double and single suites. Fowler Hall is adjoined to Hughes Hall in the Fowler-Hughes-Keathley complex, or "FHK."

2nd Lt. Thomas Fowler, class of 1943, is a Medal of Honor recipient. Fowler led infantry troops and tanks in Italy while advancing toward Rome. He cleared a minefield covering 75 yards by lifting the antipersonnel mines out of the ground with his hands. While scouting he cleared several foxholes if enemy soldiers. Fowler was killed in action 11 days later in Rome. His Medal of Honor is on display at the Sam Houston Sanders Corps of Cadets Center.
