Nov. 19, 1915: Texas A&M defeated Texas, 13-0, at Kyle Field. It was the first time the rivalry game was played at A&M. It was also the first meeting since 1911.
In February 1917, a group of Aggies stole the Texas mascot and branded the 1915 score into the longhorn's hide. In an effort to cover it up, UT students allegedly modified the hide to look like "BEVO," thus giving the mascot its name. (UT's website disputes the claim and says its students did not rebrand the steer's hide.)
Nov. 19, 1987: R.E.M. performed at G. Rollie White Coliseum. The show was part of the Athens, Georgia, band's Green tour.
