Feb. 22, 1949: The movie Bad Boy, starring Audie Murphy, the most decorated veteran of WWII and a Medal of Honor recipient, opened in theaters. Murphy's character, Danny Lester, was a juvenile delinquent sentenced to the Variety Club Ranch instead of jail. After redeeming himself, he goes on to attend and graduate from Texas A&M.
