Feb. 19, 1989: Danielle Adams, basketball player for A&M from 2009 to 2011, was born. The All-American scored the most points in a game (40) and in a season (847) in 2010-2011. Adams also had the highest scoring average for a season and career (22.3 points for the 2010-2011 season and 19.5 for her career). She blocked 10 shots, the highest, in a single game.
The Aggies won the national championship in 2011. Adams was drafted in the second round by the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars.
Feb. 19, 1951: The Aggie Band debuted its first album at Guion Hall. It was titled Songs of Texas A&M.
