Professors investigated: Texas A&M archaeology professor Filipe Castro has been fired, and anthropology professor Michael Alvard received a written reprimand following investigations into their classroom conduct and sociopolitical commentary. 

Final rankings: Texas A&M finished fourth in the final Associated Press Top 25 college football poll for its highest finish since the 1939 team won the national championship.

Vaccine production: Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies and Texas A&M University System officials announced Monday that production has begun on two COVID-19 vaccine candidates with U.S. government support at Fujifilm’s College Station location.

Big week: The Texas A&M women’s basketball team was named the espnW team of the week after a pair of top 15 victories over Kentucky (77-60) and Arkansas (74-73) last week. 

Tennis tournament: The Texas A&M women’s tennis team swept doubles play and earned five wins in singles on the third day of the TCU Invitational on Monday.
