Bling season is in full effect in Aggieland.

Beginning as early as May 21, photos and videos of the diamond-clad facade of the 2019 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl rings began to appear on social media accounts of current and former A&M players.

Beyond the initial eye-catching sparkle is one curious addition to the inside of the silver jewelry - the 74-72, seven-overtime scoreline of the Aggies' Nov. 24 win over LSU. It was the Aggies's first win over the Tigers since joining the SEC.

Traditionally, football teams receive rings after a bowl victory or a conference championship. Per NCAA rules, schools can spend up to $415 per student-athlete when it comes to awards for bowl victories.
